We booked a cab from Diamond Cabs Tours & Travels for a weekend tour to Coorg from Bangalore and return. Initially, we were informed that we will be charged at Rs. 13/km plus Rs. 500 for waiting and Rs. 300/day for the driver. When we returned, we traveled for 600 kms but when we wanted to pay the total charges, the cab driver demanded for the cost of 750 kms (150 kms excess of what we consumed, an extra Rs. 1950). We started our journey on 30 May 2015 6:30 pm and we returned on 1 June 2015 10:00 pm. The rationale given by Diamond cabs is that since we did not return the car by afternoon 12, we will have to pay an extra 150 kms cost. We were travelling will kids, elderly person and pregnant lady and the way we were harassed was really bad. At the end of the discussion, we also offered to pay extra Rs. 1000 on top of what we already paid for 600 kms, but they said they will come to my house the next day for settlement. This kind of behavior was harassing and threatening.
