Respected Sir, With great discontent I want to state that, on 24/04/2013 I sent a consignment using DTDC LITE-EXPRESS SERVICE with consignment number D13256313 from Bangalore to Patna. Now when I am checking the status of the consignment it is showing “Shipment On Hold due to CONSIGNMENTS HELD FOR TAXES” in Kolkata in their tracking website (http://www.dtdc.in). I then called to Kolkata DTDC cutomer care number :-03333004444 and they told the Consginment has been held by “Department of Sale Tax” and they are not sure when the Govt will relase the consignment. In the consignment there is a pair of Titan watches worth Rs 3095. As I have send it as a gift to my in-laws house in Patna, that is why I have not attached the invoice copy,but later I have sent the invoice copy to the below email id provided by Lokesh one of the DTDC fellow. mohanr@dtdc.com,whitefieldrd.blr@fr.dtdc.com, css.southblr@dtdc.com I contacted Mr Mohan Raj who is the manager of DTDC bangalore phone no:-08861486237 and another DTDC person Lokesh Phone no:-09844009565. While buying we paid the tax, while sending through DTDC(340 Rs for the courrier) also we paid the tax and it is also not informed to us by DTDC to attached the invoice copy with the consignment. Now they are asking “either you pay the tax or who will receive has to pay” of Rs 1595, also they are not sure when it will be released by the “Dept. Of Sales Tax” may be 15 days or more than that. Is this justice to ask to pay extra tax and also to hold the consignment without any notice. Now I want my money back at least(3000 INR +340 INR DTDC charge). I already lost Rs 3000 for watch. Rs 340 for DTDC charge. And lots of phone call that I made and the mental harassment that I am facing.
