1. This is to bring to your notice, the act of gross negligence done by the coveted courier company by the name of DTDC couriers. A consignment booked on 4.10.2014 from the branch office at Walchandnagar, Dist. Pune, Maharashtra to be delivered to Dehradun, has been reportedly lost. 2. The consumer, one Mr. Shankar Zadu, has continuously tracked the courier and has emailed the required personnel, one Ms. Jhanvi at DTDC, who has refused to co-operate and has made no effort to track the consignment or claim responsibility for the act of negligence of the agents and employees of DTDC Courier Company. 3. The consumer, Mr. Shankar Zadu possesses the thread of tracking mails and the emails which were sent to the required and authorized person at DTDC. 4. This is also to assert that this act by the DTDC Courier Company amounts to ‘defect’ and ‘deficiency’, as provided under SEction 2(d) and 2(g) respectively.
The Diwali Gift which was the consignment was worth approximately INR 3,500/-. Along with the full cost of the consignment lost, the complainant consumer reckons to be granted a relief of Rs. 20,000/-
