My brother, Abhishek Choudhry, bought a pair of Bose headphones from eBay on 10th December, 2013 for me. Few days back it’s adapter got dysfunctional. I tried to get it repaired from showroom but learnt that these are fake headphones. I looked into eBay Q&A forums and realized that they would help me get my money refunded or get it replaced. I tried lodging an online complain but it didn’t accept my item number(mandatory field). On calling customer care, the executive (Krishna) informed me that it happened because the purchase date was older than 30 days but he assured me that eBay would surely redress my grievance and said that the seller is pretty reputed. On this note, he gave me the seller’s contact number and asked me to contact him and update you guys with the conversation. But unfortunately, the number that had been provided to me doesn’t exist. So I had to call the customer care again. Mind it, it takes around 10-15 min to reach a customer care executive (Prakash) and the one that picked my call now was exact contrast to the earlier. He was in no mood to help me and asked me questions such as why didn’t I return the headphones as soon as I received it. It took me time to make him understand that it is a very good imitation of the original headphones and I, not being an expert, was not able to make out the difference between the original and the duplicate. I also told him that one cannot expect me to do an anatomy of the products I buy from you to check whether it has all original parts. I triple checked the contact number and also told him that the seller’s number they provided does’t exist. He wasn’t even ready to dial check the number himself and said that he is not in a position to help me and gave me the seller’s email id. I have already sent a mail to the so called reputed seller(Nikhil Agarwal from Udaipir, email id: Nik.aga87@gmail) on 23rd May and am waiting for a response.
