Dear Sir I hold a ICICI Credit Card no 4375510406XCC0009 (Platinum) and my billing cycle is 26th of every month and due date is 12th of the next month. I have been ICICI bank customer for the last 7-9 years and hold a good credit history. 1. I did not receive my statement dated June 25th/ 26th by post or email. 2. I called up the call center around 18th July for a duplicate statement and made the complete payment immediately and also informed them that I did not receive the statement.
I couldn’t call earlier as it had slipped my mind on account of busy work schedule. 3. In my July 26th statement, I have been levied late payment charges of Rs 1200 plus though in my earlier call on 18th July i was told that i will not be. I have been charged Rs 500 of late payment fee plus 715.17 as interest charges and around 62 and 88 as ST approximately. When i called the ICICI helpline (33667777) on 21st August, the executive was unable to help and acknowledge the issue promised a reversal of late fee but not interest charges which I found absurd and I insisted on speaking to the manager. After about 10-15 minutes of wait i was put on to the manager ‘Shridhar’ who not only refused to acknowledge the problem but refused to help and was also bordering on rudeness in his manner of talking and tonality. He out rightly refused any reversal.
I filed a written complaint on 21st August but haven’t heard anything though i have revived several reminders on the payment not received part. As a measure i have made the full payment including the late payment with request to the bank to reverse the late payment as i had not received the bill. I filed a written complaint on 21st August itself as I was not satisfied with the call center response. The complaint was filed via email on their website and received a message that the bank will revert within 48 hours. Till today (31st August) I have not received any communication bank in this regard. 9. I again wrote to the bank on 23rd August (Krishnan Govindan) and 26th August (Shivkumar Tadikonda –Nodal officer) through their website complaints section. Although promising response within 48 hours, till date I have not received any response. 10. In the bill generated on 26th August …I have levied late payment fee of Rs 700 and additional interest charge of RS 1000. Since my earlier issue on payment pertaining to 26th June was not resolved, the payment to same was delayed and its still not resolved. I find it unfair that I have been charged both late payment fee and interest charge as well.
