Filing of Complaint against Post Master, Thiagarayanagar Head Post Office, Chennai-600 017 in connection with non-delivery of registered parcel booked with him even after a lapse of 23 days-Regarding.

Ref: 1] Registered parcel RP C 3777 booked at Thyagarayanagar H.O., Chennai-600017, on 14.08.2010 at 15:15 hrs.

2] My emails dated: 28.08.2010 & 03.09.2010 to the Assistant Director
(PublicGrievances), Office of the Chief Post Master General, Tamil Nadu Circle,
Chennai-600002, sent to email ID adpgtn@gmail.com

I submit that I have booked a registered parcel RP C 3777 at Thyagarayanagar H.O., Chennai-600017, on 14.08.2010 at 15:15 hrs., addressed to my daughter Miss A.S.CHITHRA DHARA, MA English I Year, Room No.C2, Akka Mahadevi Women’s Hostel, English and Foreign Languages University, Hyderabad, PIN:500 007. I have paid Rs.52.00 as registration Fee/charge [Wt.706 gms] as per receipt 1st cited.
The parcel contained a Text Book & Course Material for her studies at English & Foreign Languages University, Hyderabad.
The aforesaid parcel was not handed over to my daughter till 28.08.2010 and hence, I have sent an email on the same date to the grievances cell functioning at the office of the Post Master General, Tamil Nadu, Chennai in their mail ID adpgtn@gmail.com.

As no action was taken to my complaint and no reply was given to me either by post or by email, I have again sent and email on 03.09.2010 narrating the legal implications for not delivering my property to the addressee/ my daughter.

Since the parcel was not delivered in a reasonable time, my daughter’s studies have been affected to a greater extent.

My representation to the authorities went to futile, I am taking up my case before the Hon’ble Consumer Redressal Forum for seeking suitable remedy and favourable orders.

Yours truly,

A.SELVARAJ
