I ordered a Logitech 981-000381 Wireless Headset for iPad from flipkart.com on 8th September 2013. The product arrived on 11th September 2013, and I followed the instructions to get it working. However, the product, as i found out was not working at all. The seller has sent me a defective product. I immediately notified Flipkart through mail and call. Flipkart officials told me that they had a policy for protecting their customers, and that i shall be refunded the amount or my product will be replaced. They told me that I will receive a call within 2 days about this, but instead of call, i got a mail from the seller on flipkart saying that he will not cover this item as it is not in his policy to replace defective items, and that I must find a Logitech center and get it replaced from there. I notified flipkart again, and they once again said that they would call me within 2 days. Days passed, but I didn’t get any call from them. I emailed them. They again said they’d call me within 2 days, but still they didn’t. This happened many times, involving some calls from my end. Finally frustrated, I called and asked to speak to supervisor. I refused to let the matter be in hold till I was called in 2 days. Then the super-wiser gave me an exact time when this issue will be resolved finally which was on Monday 30th September. Like he told me, I did get a call from flipkart, however, the technical team only asked me certain questions about what the defect is, to check whether the charging cable is working fine etc. and told me that they’ve understood that the device is defective, and that they will resolve this issue at the earliest, and that I would get a call within 3 days from them. That day, I got a mail from them saying that a dispute has been raised, the seller will be talked to and I will be notified of updates. However so many days have passed yet again without any updates, and the email used by flipkart this time is a no-reply email, I cannot even question them about the status anymore. I wish to seek justice for loss of my time, immense frustration, selling defective products and not heeding complaints.
I want my defective product replaced and a moderate compension for all the frustration, and time they have cost me.
