Flipcart – The product is defective

had purchased a Kelvinator KS-6011GL Semi-Automatic from Flipkart on 25th August, 2012. The product is defective and within a couple of months of usage, the washer dryer broke. The product was within warranty. But calling the tech support was a nightmare. This same problem occurred thrice. The third time, with great difficulty, I registered a complaint (Complaint no. BAN2107130097) on 21st July. The customer service for Kelvinator is managed by Sree Enterprises. An engineer named Madhu K (9886652867) was supposed to service the product, but he did not visit for one week. After two weeks, he visited and said the spare parts are not available and will come after two weeks. I followed up for two months, but Kelvinator Service Centre did not respond. I had to register the complaint again after making multiple calls everyday for two weeks (new complaint no.: BAN0710130231) to be serviced by Srikanth (+91-7899955328). After numerous follow-ups (more than 20-25 calls) for 3 weeks, the issue is still unresolved. Also, the head technician Mr. Babu (9902698715) threatened me as following: “Give me your address and I will bash you up” and he used indecent language with me. Mr. Ravi, the store head is unreachable. I have followed up with Flipkart numerous times as well and was promised every time that the issue would be resolved, but it has not happened.

Since the product is defective and has been dysfunctional due to lack of service, I want my money to be refunded after accounting for depreciation. Since, the price was Rs.6750, I want atleast Rs.5,500 to be refunded and the product to be taken back. Alternatively, I want an exchange of the product with a new non-defective product with a renewed warranty period of 2 years.
