I had ABN AMRO credit card (card number: No “5415 XXXX XXXX 0635”). Which is been converted into RBS when RBS took over on 15th of Dec 2012 I received few SMS from RBS bank regarding 7 transactions (i.e. INR 1500, 5000, 200, 500, 300, 1000, 2200) happened from my credit card within ½ an hour’s time but when I got the bill I found actually there are 16 transactions has been done so I believe I have a valid reason to doubt that either bank staff or bank is involve in this action. Immediately I called RBS customer care and blocked my card and posted a new card request though I have my old card I never lost it. RBS executive has informed me that the payment has not been released to the vendor yet so I quickly requested them to put it as disputed payment and do not release till it gets clearance from me “As liability lies with the customer, authority should also given to the customer not the bank or vendor” but the executive told me that bank can’t act till transaction is through and I will have to make payment and then they will investigate and if found fraudulent will reimburse that is unlikely, It never happens.
Please do your investigation and get me reversal of this payment for which I have not done the transaction the amount is INR 28,800. All the transaction done on 15th of Dec 2012 between Approx 6:30 to 7:00 PM.
