I have purchased two sets of expensive bedsheet covers from Maharana Museum at Udaipur. I had additionally requested for additional two sets of pillow covers for the same. The merchant said it was not available immediately and he could arrange for it to be sent by speed post to me within a week. I agreed for the same as I required to gift the sets to a friend for his wedding. I left my phone number also with the company to contact me, as I required the sets well in time to be able to handover the same for the wedding.

The shopkeepers have not kept their promise and did not despatch the said items in the specified time. As a result I had to gift the set without the extra pillow covers. I had reminded the shopkeeper several times on the phone before this, but he kept dilly dallying the issue.

In the month of December when I went driving to Udaipur, I dropped by at the shop to recover my dues. I was told that the pillow covers had just been despatched two days ago. I informed him that I did not need the pillow covers any longer as it was of no use to me now and that I would not be available at Agra residence for next one month. He then understood my problem and told me he would be able to make the refund only after the package was received by them. He noted down my account number to make the cash transfer once the item was received back by them.

Again in January when I called him up regarding the status of the payment, I was told that the package was received and the payment would be made on the following Monday.

Today when I have called up, Mr Rajesh Chauhan informed me that, they have a no money back policy and that I will have to collect the package again. When I explained the whole matter to him, again he feigned ignorance and said “I cannot give you the money”!

It is requested that stringent action be taken against the fraudulent company which makes such fraudulent promises, and thereafter indulges in white collar dacoity. The said company may also be directed to make good my payment of Rs. 2100/- alongwith interest as may be applicable w.e.f. 31 Oct 09 till date of payment by the merchant.

I have run out of patience waiting for 4 months now and hope that I will be able to recover my money with your kind intervention.
