A Godrej dealer of modular kitchen, M/s Horizon, Saraidhela, Dhanbad has to complete the installation of modular kitchen at my residence at Bokaro Steel City, in Aug. Sept 2012 for which 50% of amount were paid in advance (Rs.75,000.00). Unfortunately, installation has not been completed till date. A lot of defects were also raised with respect to design, installation & billing. a) Window side, left top corner space left blank / not utilised b) One steel drum big size (18.5” dia. & height 24.5”) given earlier could not be accommodated. c) “Thali” size (13.3” dia.) given earlier, not fitting in “Thali” unit. d) Floor slope not provided, causing accumulation of water. e) Sink area not sealed properly, causing continuous damage to wooden board & granite slab. f) One steel section tray taken away by your client has not been returned till date. g) Defects not rectified till date, whereas offer was to complete the work in 8-10 weeks but till date aforesaid defects have not been removed & rectified by your client. In spite of assurance given by your client. 3. The following items of modular kitchen has not been supplied till now but included in bill. In spite of repeated request i. Glass plate drip tray set. ii. Handle supplied 18 only, billed for 27 nos. iii. Hardware packet for skirting supplied one, billed for two iv. Hardware packet for kitchen supplied one only, billed for two. v. Hinges supplied for 22 only, billed for 27. vi. Waste bin holder not supplied, included in bill vii. Leg supplied 18 nos. but bill made for 22 nos. viii. Common frame supplied 5 nos., billed for 6 nos. ix. Top units 600mm both doors not provided. 4. The VAT & installation charge have been calculated on central excise Tax, also which is not permissible under Law, there is no filler, out station delivery charge mentioned in offer letter. Complaint was lodged at Godrej, Mumbai also through email & in response to that they asked their Ranchi team to look after that. Ranchi team asked M/s Horizon to rectify the defects. Party sent a letter from his Advocate, who after reply from my Advocate, asked for reconcillation. Whenever party is asked to rectify the defects, they instead ask for balance amount without rectification of defects in installation, supply & correction in their bill. Any favourable step in this regard will be of kind help. Submitted.
