Godrej Split AC – Stopped functioning Faulty fitting

I have purchased Godrej 1.5 T Split AC in April 2014. However, the fitting got delayed due to the delay tactics adopted by the Company on the pretext that their servicing agency has stopped functioning, and finally it was fitted sometime in June 2014. However, at the time of fitting the AC the mechanic crookedly took away the original bill, guarantee card etc. as our house was getting furnished at that time. We were left with only the date of purchase and the place wherefrom it was purchased. As I was not physically present at home, this all happened. And then, the AC started giving troubles from day one of its fitting. Inspite of Vijay Electronics, Vashi promising on behalf of Godrej that the fitting for all Godrej ACs bought on Gudi Padwa 2014 would be free, the mechanic charged us Rs.3100 saying that he had to bring additional pipings etc. All that is forgivable, but when the AC is switched on, after 5 minutes it starts leaking into the main room and no water was going through the outlet. I have been making complaints almost every day. They gave me so many call Nos. including B140573xxx, B090564xxx to quote the two of the last complaints. I have received messages atleast three times indicating that one Mr. VINOD SAROJ (amongst many other fictitious names that they sent me earlier) will attend the call; However, no-one attended the real problem. On 9th May, 2015, one Mr. Raju from Siddhivinayak Enterprises came and admitted that he knew nothing technically but it is a ‘fitting problem’ and he will report it to his Engineer. This apparently means that their so-called technicians know nothing about servicing of ACs. Finally, during the current week when I started asking them why they close the complaints without even attending to it by anyone, the vague answer that I got from 1800225511 is that I am not paying the service charges. When the AC was fitted wrongly (as admitted by the Company’s representative himself), and then the Company was completely avoiding attending to problems, how can it be a problem of the customer? But, since it is a problem that I am facing, I even offered to pay whatever their charges, but no response from the Company. When I started making frequent calls to 1800225511, they gave me the mobile numbers of one Mr. Ashish 9821353589, Mr. Sachin 8108398587 and Mr. Mukhesh 9619035xxx. However, none of them are responding. The Company’s attitude compels me to file this complaint. (PS: I got a call yesterday from a landline Number 0226534xxx apparently belonging to Godrej Service Centre) demanding Rs.750/- for someone to come to my place to fix the problem; their query was that the AC was fitted in June 2014 and how come I make a complaint in May 2015, to which I have given an explanation that I started occupying the Premises only recently and only with the onset of summer season I could switch on the AC. The Company should send one of their Engineers to inspect the AC; look at it; admit the mistake; re-fit it and stop doing such kind of faulting fittings at any other person’s place
