Godrej – Two door shoe cabinet issue Not ready take complaint

I have made a written complaint to M/s Godrej about a problem with one of its dealer ‘POONA CHEAP STORE’ on 04.06.2015. As on 20.06.2015, I have not got any reply from either Godrej or its dealer about the refund/replacement for a product, I have paid on 09.05.2015, but haven’t received the product as of now. The complaint made to Godrej is follows: I want to complaint to you regarding your dealer “Poona Cheap Store” in Pune. I had ordered a 2 door shoe cabinet from the dealer on 09.05.2015. I was promised 1. FREE HOME DELIVERY and 2. Delivery of the product at my home in 8-10 days. I even paid an advance of INR 3,000.00/-(Please find the attachment). However, the product was only delivered, in pre-assembled state, on 28.05.2015 at 20:30 Hrs. That means the product was delivered, only after 19 days, only after several reminders to the dealer. The product came in broken state(the inside hinges were not fixed properly), which upon asking, was tightened only at my home at that time. Also, the screw(Allen screw), used on the outside, was a local one and not the one provided by Godrej. And the screw was painted with the colour of the shoe cabinet to hide the same. Upon pointing out, the carpenter of the dealer replied that Godrej supplied small screw and it was not fitting, hence they need to put the big one. Due to such poor workmanship and surprisingly such bad quality material from the Godrej, I refused to accept the material. When on 01.06.2015, I went to the dealer to discuss the problem, the dealer started to argue that there is no problem in the product and tried to force me to accept the material. Then I showed him that where the Big screw was fixed, the wood was broken and even the doors were not fixed properly. Now, I asked the dealer to replace the item and provide me with a new one. To this the dealer ‘Very promptly’ refused. Then I asked to refund my advance of INR 3,000.00/- but the dealer said that he will deduct the delivery charges, for the product he never completed the delivery, that too after promising FREE Delivery. I am SHOCKED with such a response from a GODREJ Dealer. I request you to take immediate action and get my money refunded at once. I have even talked to Godrej Consumer care, but the executives informed me to only send a mail and was not ready to take my complaint.

Either a fresh new product from GODREJ or refund of the advance paid to the dealer along with interest from the date of complaint to Godrej.
