GULF AIRWAY OFFICIAL – case against bureaucracy & emotional harrassment

This is with reference to my flight booked almost one month in prior to my departure TO ETHIOPIA. ON DEPARTURE DAY I ARRIVED MUCH EARLY AND HIRED A PORTER.AT TIME OF BOARDING, I was asked for an excess baggage for 20 kg in the first board-in and then for an excess of 18 kg in the second board-in entry, despite the fact that I had reduced my luggage by 15 kg after first check-in. The counter person demanded an amount exceeding Rs 12000/- ( without any concession). In the first time of my boarding, I was told an overweight of 20 kg, I reduced my baggage by almost 14 kg – I returned that baggage to my parents who were waiting to hear about my successful boarding, outside the airport entry gate. When I returned to the counter, the counter person was missing & the other counter person ( claiming to be the authority) put even my handbaggage with the board-in luggage and said it is yet 18 kg excess. That was a surprise to hear. To make you trust my words, I would like to add that my observing porter also spoke that it should not be that way. Hearing to his confrontation, the counter person WARNED the porter and told him to keep shut and not to interfere in the matter.The porter is the eye-witness for the corrupt practice that occurred by Gulf Air official. When the porter spoke for me, he was told to stay mum. Sir, you only explain how the baggage can be excess of 18 kg from 20 kg when I reduced more than 14 kg- by giving the goods to my parents standing out. And then also when the counter person didn’t hear, I further reduced my hand baggage (17kg), but he didn’t accepted the further decrease. At that time I not lost my baggage that I had to carry for my journey, but also paid Rs 7000/- which the counter person refused to accept. He didn’t issued me the Boarding -pass and said the flight is taking -off. After that he quit from his place with other staff AT 8:45 PM without even arranging for my exit from the airport. THEIR STAFF NEVER FELT GUILTY FOR THEIR BEHAVIOUR TOWARDS ME OR A FEMALE PASSENGER ( A MILITARY FACULTY). ON CONTRARY OF THEIR APOLOGY, THEY INSTEAD BLAMING ME. THE FACT IS THAT I MISSED MY FLIGHT DUE TO THE MANIPULATION OF THEIR OFFICE STAFF. HE HARRASSED/ BLACK-MAILED ME ON THE JUNCTURE OF LAST MINUTES TOWARDS THE CLOSING OF ‘THE ONLY OPEN COUNTER’. HE CREATED AN ADDITIONAL DELAY BY INVOLVING ME IN THE CONVERSATION ABOUT MY PROFESSIONAL STAND AT DEC,ETHIOPIA AND SAID IT DOESN’T MATTER TO BE A MILITARY PERSONNEL AS THERE ARE MANY WHO ARE TRAVELLING THIS WAY. I LOST IMMENSE OF IMPORTANT DEADLINES THAT WERE TO BE MET BY ME IN MY JOB. AND THEN TOO I HAD TO PAY AN ADDITIONAL AMOUNT AND TRAVEL IN THEIR AIRLINES FOR JOB. TIME WAS MORE IMPORTANT AND REFUND WAS NOT EASY.

Rs 5OOOOO/- (5 LAKH RUPEES) or at least justice to me and a lesson to corrupt pvt airlines
