HaldiRam sold a packed gift box in Diwali. The cost of the box was much higher then the total cost of individual products. A Sweet shop can not charge for the box, even if they charge then charges should be nominal. The box by the name of “Double Mazzaa” has four items 1-Rasgulla (Rs 100), 2- Namkeen (Rs 46,) 3- Namkeen (Rs 42), 4- Patisa (Rs 160). Total cost of the individual items is Rs 348. The price of the packed box was Rs 385 which is Rs 37 higher then the total price of individual items. The box is made of cart board ,The cost price of a box can not be Rs 37 specially for such a large brand like Haldiram who may have purchased it in bulk in lakhs. They are selling there product in group and hence cannot charge for the box

Financial damage caused to lakhs of people who purchased this item, Since Haldiram is known as a very good quality brand, they have taken a advantage and charged heavily for the box which they should have provided free of cost.

Haldiram should be penalized for overcharging and instructed not to charge for boxes or charge nominally.
