My HDFC life policy no. is 13984785. I did repetitive request for cancellation of policy in various emails to HDFC costumer care, grievance officer and nodal officer, but nothing has been done till date. I would like to bring into your notice the following facts, on the basis of which I am seeking the cancellation of my policy. 1. At the time of inception of the policy, Sales Representative never told me about the discontinuation charges in case of surrender of policy before 5 years, I only came to know after the sale of policy as written in policy document and my communication with costumer care regarding policy surrender. All the charges and future obligation should be cleared at the time of sale of policy, at the time of contract there should not be any ambiguity regarding the future obligations. 2. At the time of sale of policy I was given the option to pay by credit card in installment without any finance charge. Further your Sale’s representative confirmed that I would be receiving this facility in subsequent years. But this didn’t happened, I was not provided the credit card installment in subsequent years without any finance charge. 3.My Policy inception date is 22nd Oct 2010 and at that time CNX-Nifty was 6066.05 and Currently it is 5780.05 (1st Oct 2013) thus Nifty down by around 4.7% since 22nd Oct 2010. Till date I have invested in HDFC life policy no.13984785 a sum of Rs.90,000/ – and Fund value as on date is INR 72,000/- (1st Oct 2013) approx therefore down by 20%. Thus nifty is only down by 4% in comparison to this Policy which is down by 20%. This comparison clearly shows that this policy is under performer and I am losing my money rapidly.
I want my policy to be cancelled and refund of my principle amount.
