Hero Glamour motorcycle – Refusal to service authorised dealer

I purchased a Hero Glamour motorcycle from their autorised dealer (M/s J&K Motors, Srinagar) on 31st August 2013. The bike had a faulty speedometer. I called up the dealer to inform them about the issue and get it resolved. They directed me to visit their service station at Hyderpora which is in the outskirts of Srinagar city the next day. When I went to the service station at the time i was told by the dealership. However, the staff at the service station refused to fix the problem, i pleaded to them saying that i cannot visit the service station again as it is too far from the city and being a Doctor i have to be available to my hospital 24×7 in case of medical emergencies. They paid no attention to my plea. I next day i called the dealership they again said i should to to the service station. I refused to go their and made a complaint to the Chandigrah office of HeroMotocorp. After making that complaint, three days later the company sent an engineer to fix the problem. The company acknowledged deficiency in their service in writing. Their letter is attached.

Monetary Compensation of Rupees 25000.
