Today I have received a call from Reliance Delhi office (Vijaya building Cannought Place) from a lady who told me that There is an excessive high usage on my Internet broadband account. She told me that unbilled amount has reached to Rs 8000/- and looking at the past history there has never been such a usage and she just wanted to check if I have such a high usage. I was surprised to hear about all this and I denied about high usage. She advised me to call the Customer care and inform about same to the customer care.

When I called the Customer care number today I spoke to the Floor supervisor Sweety and she told me that the unbilled amount has reach upto Rs 11,000/- which is almost shocking to me. I have never used my internet with such a high usage. On telling the customer care supervisor please raise a ticket to check why there is a high usage on my account and look into this issue, she simply said that there is nothing that they can do until the bill for this month is generated. She told me that my bill generation date is 23rd of February and only after that they can raise a ticket. I requested her to take some action otherwise this unbilled amount may reach to another multiple of thousands untill 23rd Feb, To this She said she is helpless untill the bill is generated.

Please note I raised this high usage matter earlier also in January 2009 when my December 2008 bill shooted upto Rs 1500/- which normally comes around 840/-. Technical department responded to it saying that Usage has happened. Then on their response I paid all the dues after thinking that I might have exceeded the 4.3 GB of download limit and asked the customer care to cancel my WIMAX disconnection request that I raised because I want to retain the connection.. But now looking at this much high usage I am sure that my account is being misused by someone.

As a precautionary measure I have change my Broadband password today. Kindly investigate into this matter.
