Hitachi – Deficiency in Service

I had purchased a Two Door 318 Litre Fridge of model # RT-350END1k-PBK bearing serial # 2120200094 on 22-05-2012.This fridge is warrantied for 1+4 (5) years. The fridge stopped working on the intervening night of 05/06-08-2013.I registered a complaint # 13080500953 on 06-08-13 at 11 A.M. with company’s consumer Helpline & followed it up through their Dealer M/S Sahu Agencies, Lucknow who too have a consumer helpline & they coordinate on consumer behalf.No one from the company visited on 06-08-13.Two technicians from local service centre came around 12 P.M on 07-08-13 & told me that the PCB needs replacement.I requested them to replace it. They told that they have not brought PCB with them.After checking from Service centre they told me that the same is not available in store either. Despite that they insisted for payment of VISITING Charges.I told them that they should first resolve my problem & then expect the payment.Visiting charges is Service charge & they have not provided any service so far. Despite constant follow up for last five days nothing has happened.The matter was brought to the notice of Ms. Seema at corporate office & despite her assurance nothing happened. The irony is nobody responds to update the progress & we are completely in dark about the fate of our machine.

1.The company should be asked to REPLACE the SUB STANDARD machine. 2.The company should be asked to compensate for the losses we suffered. 3.The company should be asked to pay compensation for mental torture & harrassment. 4. Some responsible functionary from the company should be asked to apologise for the lapses & extend an assurance that such incidence will not recur.
