Today I have made a shopping at Hyper city, Hyderabad and experience bad customer service due to the reason mentioned below: • Charging more than MRP – Pony Hair Round Brushes 7 set Mrp is 150 and charged as 160. (attached bill for your reference) – It’s illegal to sell more than MRP. • Cross Selling – I picked Bunny Teddy bear for 299/- sign board mentioned (See Display attachment, once the bill was generated I realized that teddy was billed for 699/- when I enquired she suggested to visit customer care. I met customer care executive and they offered me credit note, I requested them to refund money instead of credit note but he told me there is no option. I feel this is not fair to customers for whom you display something and charge for other and when we buy in a bulk its difficult to keep a track. Though I feel issuing a credit note is a regular procedure incase of exchange however for any incorrect billing management should take an exception and refund money instead of holding it and forcing customer to buy again from the store is not fair. When I highlighted to manager she was helpless and not convinced of doing wrong at her part …which is ethically wrong. By looking at display picture you will understand nowhere price is bifurcated nor it is a situation where one of product was mingled, it has approx. 10 products over there ,over and above there are two products with similar appearance with different price though quality differs but difficult for us to identify, one costs 699/- and other 399/-. It is very careless behavior and not customer focused retail shop. With so many people crowded during weekends its tough to recheck billing and we assume everything was fine and even if we realize once reaching home it would cost more for us(travelling cost) to go back to store and exchange the product and again to go to reimburse credit note. I request you to look at these issues and take corrective action.
– Steps to ensure not more than MRP is charged regardless of product amount. – Incase of wrong billing – flexibility should be given to customer to refund instead of forcing with credit note.
