Hi I bought a Hyundai i20 (Asta) from coimbatore with a on road price of 8,40000 INR on 20-09-2013The vehicle registration number is TN 38 BV 1432.. I had no problem with the vehicle till 1st feb 2014. Since then I am having an issue with a Gear shift indicator. This vehicle is a 6 gear vehicle and has a gear shift indicator which indicates on which gear to go. I suddenly noticed that the vehicle is asking me to shift to 5 th gear while I am driving at 150 KMPH in the 6th gear. This is not supposed to happen. I brought it to the notice of local dealer ship(Chandra Hyundai) in coimbatore. They had run every test on the car by replacing the necessary parts. They almost ran the car for more than 300 kms on my fuel expenses to check for the issue in the car. I had brought this to notice of the customer service of Hyundai for my car. The car used to go the dealership every time they wanted to check and they would remove the dashboard console and replace the part and check for the part which had the issue. They told me that they would replace the part which ever is necessary. the vehicle is under warranty for 2 years. After the check up they came back to me with a Hyundai employee who is a regional service manager ( Karthick) saying that this issue is software issue and they have given their feedback to the head quarters which is in Korea to make necessary changes to the software. They had asked a time frame of 1 month. I had spoken to Mr.Karthick on 14th of May where they told told they do not want to commit a time frame to fix this issue. They told it might take approximately an week’s time to sort this issue out. I have still not got any response from them and This issue doesn’t not seem to get sorted out. This is going to be the completion of 4th month since this issue has been noticed. I have paid for the car and i want this car to be replaced if they cannot fix my car.
I want the car to be replaced.
