ICICI Bank – NRO/NRE Account Opening no proper response by bank

This is regarding of opening of my NRO/NRE accounts in ICICI bank while I was in Delhi, India in December 2013. I am a NRI with one of biggest MNCs at a senior finance position. I had opened 1 set of NRO & NRE account with a customer Id# 530777621. Account numbers are #000701264945 (cheque book & intl debit card issued by Mr. Prem on the spot) and #000701091899 (cheque book & debit card received in Singapore). To my shock I have received in Singapore cheque book/ debit cards for 1 more set of NRO & NRE account with a customer id# 534476931. Account numbers are # 000701091905 and #000701091906. In the 02nd week of Jan’14 I have had a very long conversation over the phone (from Singapore) with ICICI customer care officer in India. I got a taste of bad handling at customer care though I had told them that I was making an international call and asked why Mr Prem or any other officer could not call an overseas customer back. This is despite the fact that customer never intended to have 2 set of accounts and customer was not at fault. I told the same thing to customer care officer. Instead of asking Mr. Prem to call me back though I gave my cell number to customer care officer, I was asked to call Mr. Prem and get 1 set of account closed without any closing fee as it was his responsibility to take care of my accounts. To resolve this issue I have made several calls and written numerous emails to all parties mentioned over a period of 2 months. Till now no resolution nor any proper communication has come from bank. Since it is already more than 2 months I have decided to lodge complaint with CORE. Kindly request you to go through all email communications as attached for detailed understanding of issue at hand. I trust that you will help to bring it to its logical conclusion. Kind Regards Naveen Vishnoi

1) I have been following up on my case for more than 2 months with the ICICI Bank without any result. 2) I have made numerous complaints and calls which have resulted in mental agony and waste of time. I spent almost 20 hours of my productive time (spread over 2 months) in calls, drafting emails. 3) I could not do a single transaction on my accounts till now as a) accounts which were supposed to be closed are still open; b) account which was to be kept open has been deactivated as mentioned in the letter received from ICICI bank; c) it has created lots of confusion as to which account is activated and which is not. 4) Non-usage of account (I wanted to deposit INR) and non-realisation of INR 25,000 cheque (not sure if ICICI bank has lost this cheque) has resulted in loss of money. 5) Making international calls has resulted in loss of money.
