In the first week of April’ 2015, I had requested for activation of IDBI account [049104000017754], which was not operated for about 10 years. On 19.04.2015, I received two SMS on my mobile No. 9711116127 from IDBI, confirming change in my new communication address [448, Nilgiri Apartments, Alaknanda, New Delhi – 110019], and updation of Aadhar No. [207749298419]. However, so far, there is no intimation about activation of my account. Joint account holder – Mrs Shefali Telang, has contacted many times over phone to IDBI Raipur branch and also on toll-free No. as follow-up of the account activation request, but did not get firm/concluding response. As told to her by IDBI staff, the papers have been forwarded to “Pune”. (1) Please look in to the matter, there is over a month gone since we made request for account activation. There is no query/response also from IDBI in case any more information required to be furnished. (2) Also, IDBI must have an email id to contact and furnish details in such situation; phone No. alone doesn’t seem to work as happened in this case.
There is considerable amount in my account, which I got through redemption of my investments, where bank mandate of IDBI bank was given. I need the amount immediately, as I have to pay college admission fee for my daughter. This has caused lot of worry to me and my family. Further, I am not able to utilize my own money available in the said account for useful purposes.
