My Mobile No. : 8652222xxx (postpaid) Account No. : 100017731106 Billing Cycle : 7th of the Month to 6th of next Month I was on the Retail Voice data plan 399 (offering 1 GB of built in 3G usage) in the billing cycle started on 7th Sept 2014. On the midnight of 17/18 Sept I changed my bill plan to No Bill Shock 549 (offering 2 GB of built in 3G usage) Post migration of bill plan, the free or built in benefit of prorated 3G data (No Bill Shock 549 Plan) was not updated in my account. As a result all my 3G usage post midnight of 17th Sept was charged. Consequently I started getting calls and SMS reminders from iDEA to make interim payment since my usage had exceeded credit limit else my services would be barred. My services were indeed barred. I visited iDEA showroom (Parel) but no one was able to help me. I received my ebill on the 8th of Oct for Rs. 2288.95 and on the same day I logged a complaint for the reversal of charges vide complaint no. C1-34706493603. I got confirmation on the 12th of October that the waiver of the charges WRONGLY billed to my account has been done. I was told telephonic ally that the amount reversed was about Rs. 1500/- inclusive of tax. Not recalling the exact amount, I made payment of Rs. 710/- the next day, i.e. on the 13th of Oct (2200-1500 = 700) Now since around the 20th of October I again started getting SMS from iDEA again asking me to make payment of Rs. 1492.44. I logged a complaint for the same on 22nd Oct vide complaint id no. C1-35295135153 but it is open till date and no action taken. Complaint again logged on 27th Oct vide complaint no. C1-35421549865, again it is still open no action taken. I visited My iDEA showroom at Parel and Dadar yesterday (Sunday – 2nd Nov) getting to know the CRE was there for LOOP customers but did not get to meet the CRE who had left at 3 pm only. Today again I have logged a complaint vide complaint no. C1-35693393692. In the meantime my services have been barred since last Monday – 27/10/14. Please resolve this issue immediately since I am being made to suffer at no fault of mine but because iDEA billing software has an error. Please realize that if I were to take this to consumer forum, iDEA would not have a leg to stand on or to give any reply whatsoever. What iDEA is doing to me is HARASSMENT – pure and simple.
iDEA should be penalized for giving such shoddy services and taking the customer for a ride. I have been undergoing intense mental trauma for the last month because of this error done by iDEA. I never know now when they will disconnect my services and I will be left without access to mobile telephone which in today’s date is a must have.
