Idea – Cheating and Negligence While Changing Post Paid Bill Plan

I subscribed to Idea cellular(Post Paid) through a corporate tech-Mahindra plan of Rs 299. I later wanted to change it to a Rs 149 plan tech-Mahindra plan. For this change i raised a request in My Idea store (on Dhole Patil Road, Pune). They gave me a blank paper (No FORMS) and asked me to write the plan name to change and sign. As i was not knowing the plan name, i simply wrote Rs 149 plan. I even submitted my ID card xerox as demanded by the executive in the store. One months later, when my bill was generated for Rs 956, only then i came to know that it was not a tech-Mahindra plan for which i requested. I complained this at the My Idea store, Customer care, but to no help. Then i appealed to the Idea Appellate Authority (Pune), who came back saying that the plan has been changed to what i requested for. They said that i have written this plan name “T-655”, on that piece of paper. But i have not written anything like that. I did not mentioned any plan name on that piece of paper. If there is no specific request from the customer, instead of processing the request, they should have cancelled my request. In fact, the service request that was raised for change of bill plan, through My Idea, got closed without any action. Upon inquiry they, Idea Customer care, said that, this was because my number is corporate number, and for the change to take place , they need another mobile number having Rs 149 corporate plan as a reference. But the very next day, i got a call from My Idea store, mentioning that my plan is successfully changed. I don’t how this happened. I only want to state that, they have wrongly changed my plan, for which i have never requested, and even forged the blank paper on which my signed request was taken. For this negligent act of Idea, i have to pay around Four – to – Five hundred extra.

Relief: I want a compensation of the extra bill amount charged to me (which i never expected). The Bill plan that i intended for had the STD call charge of 30 or 40 paise/Minute (approx). But it was charged Re 1 per minute, without my knowledge. I want difference amount refunded back to me. Also, in public interest, i wish a guideline be instructed to customer care departments for a proper request-response mechanisms.
