Sir / Madam, This complain is again Indiatimes Shopping where I ordered a cell phone in Mar 2013 & also made payment but due to delay in delivery from their side, I cancelled the order and requested for refund in early April 2013. Inspite of request of cancellation, they shipped the phone after 28 days which is yet to be delivered. I think this are the tactics to delay the refund which is already delayed by 16 days. Please note the following events in chronology Mar 21, 2013 – Order placed for Blackberry Phone (Order no 3002138402). It was informed that phone will be delivered in 7-10 days (last by Mar 31, 2013) Mar 21, 2013 – Same day payment made through credit card & same day it got credited in Indiatimes shopping account as confirmed by their executive over phone Mar 28, 2013 – Airway number of First flight courier has mentioned against the order on Indiatimes shopping website. On call, their executive confirmed that phone is packed and ready for delivery. April 2, 2013 – On continuous follow, I was again told that phone is ready for shipment and will be dispatched today April 3, 2013 – Since there is no change in status, I asked them to cancel the order and executive cancelled the order and also confirmed me that payment will be refunded in 7-10 days maximum. So I was expecting the refund latest by April 13, 2013. April 3, 2013 – Indiatimes Shopping sent a mail through customer service id confirming my request for cancellation and confirmed that they have forwarded my case for cancellation. following was also mentioned in the email which never happen “Your case manger will call back to you within 48 hours and will provide you all the information about your case”. Complaint ID for this transaction was 782248 April 16, 2013 – When I have not received the refund, I put request for refund in writing on Indiatimes shopping website against the order but no one replied April 17, 2013 – I again put follow up request for refund at 12.46 PM but again no reply. April 17, 2013 – All of sudden, I got email from indiatimes stating that phone has been dispatched through first flight courier and expected date of delivery Apri 23, 2013 whereas I have asked for cancellation on April 3, 2013 April 17, 2013 – I called customer care executive (name Suraj). Once again, he has no reply. He told me that order is partially cancelled in their system and now order has been dispatched so he can not cancel this. Then I asked him to connect with his manager (he named as Abhinav), after holding call for 1 min, he told me that he is in meeting and can not attend the call and confirmed me that he will schedule a call between me and his manager in next 2 hours which he never did. April 18, 2013 – When I again put complain on Indiatimes shopping and send email to them, their customer services team sent a email stating following “your product has been shipped from our side so we will not be able to cancel it from our side.
Refund of money deposited with them (Rs 15500) plus compensation of Rs 50,000/-.
