Indigo Airlines – Prescheduling of the domestic flight by over 6 hours causing indirect financial loss.

I have booked a domestic non-stop flight ticket for two passengers for a journey starting from Lucknow (Uttar Pradesh) to Bangalore (Karnataka) in Indigo Airlines; Flight number 6E-164 and Airline PNR/E-Tckt number A19CNT. The flight was originally scheduled to depart at 20:15 hrs (IST) on 05-Nov-2013. We had planned our connecting journey to Lucknow and all other relating arrangements in accordance with the given flight schedule. The Airline has now suddenly informed that they have rescheduled the subject flight’s departure to 14:05 hrs on 05-Nov-2013 i.e. the flight shall now depart over 6 hours before the originally scheduled departure time. The Airlines has not even provided any valid reason for such sudden change in their plan.

I sincerely request the Honourable Consumer Control Panel to interfere in the matter and stop this kind of autocratic mode of action by these service providers including Airlines. If looked into deeply, the Honourable Panel may sense a profit motive involved in this entire issue as there is no other flight from Lucknow to Bangalore on the said date of 05-Nov-2013. I wish to submit my humble request and plead the Honourable Panel to please take some strict action to stop this only-profit kind of manoeuvres by these industry players.
