I have filed TDR for ticket PNR No. # 2830449337 on April 20, 2014. My reason to file TDR was I didn’t travel that day. I tried to cancel my ticket at least 10 hours before departure of Punjab Mail (12138); but it showed “chart is prepared”. I filed TDR immediately at least 10 hours before actual departure of train. Today I got below response- “we regret to inform you that refund is not admissible as informed by Railways through their letter no : DCR270414V05449 and the reason being : ‘TKT not Surrendered/TDR not within 2/3/3 Hrs(CNF/RAC/WL) of actual departure of Train.” This is total shocker for me and I feel something is fishy. I guess TT sold that ticket and didn’t inform IRCTC. Please check your IRCTC database when did I file TDR. This is mental harassment and agony for the same. You are requested to reopen this TDR and refund my due amount.

IRCTC should reopen this TDR and refund my due amount. IRCTC ca check its database and event time when I did file my TDR. It was at least 10 hours before the actual departure from station.
