I bought a flat and started living from june-08(Agreement date is sept-07) as promoter given me possesion letter dated May-08. The promoter got completion certificate of the project from kolkata corporation dated March-08.

Now kolkata corporation asked me to pay Taxes since FY 05-06.

Now my question is why I should pay Taxes from 05-06?

Request your help so that I do not need to pay Taxes from 05-06 rather than pay taxes from May-08.
