Levy of Charges

I have opened an SB A/c. no. 11827 on 3rd January 2006 with the said bank. At the time of opening of account minimum amount required to keep in account per month was
Rs.500/-. And I have maintained that balance in my account. But from June 2010
onwards they are deducting Rs.100/- from my account on a quarterly basis, for non
maintenance of minimum balance. I spoke to the General Manager when I came
to notice. They told the Bank has raised their SB minimum balance to Rs.1,000/
– without giving any prior information to customers. Their excuse was they have
displayed notice at all their branches. But I informed them I was not a regular visitor
of that bank. I spoke to the General Manager and gave a written complaint also on
23rd April 2011. But no action took from their side. I also Complained at Banking Ombudsman on 19th July 2011. but I got a reply soon that co-operative banks will not come under their scheme. However they have forwarded my complaint to Registrar of Co-operative Societies, Thiruvananthapuram. But I didn’t get any reply or action from them. I would like to solve this issue at the earliest.
