life line policy of icici prudential not making cancelled

dear sir on 21st august when i was travellin in a bus from bheelwara to ajmer icici prudential executive call me and convinced me to take the icici policy worth rs 10 lakh.
they have recorded my statement that i am ready to pay a monthly premium of 275(appx) up to 15 years through my icici credit card.
i would like to mention that at that time i was not keeping my credit card and neither i was waare about the number of icici credit card(since i have never used icici credit card and i have told this to icici prudential executive too over phone on 21st august but they have given me my icici credit card number and when i have rang to my wife at jaipur and asked her to take out the card from the shelf and tell the number then it was the same number which icici prudential executice was telling.

but on that day in the veening at around 21 o clock i got a sms from icici bank which was saying that i made a transiction of 2163(appx),i was shocked and when next day i rang to icici prudential executive then they told me that i have to give yearly premium which is 2163 but i told them that last evening i have commited for monthly premium then why you have kepy yearly?they said that now nothing can happened and i will have to pay the yearly premium.
i felt cheated and since i lost my faith in icici so i requested them to make my policy cancelled but they said when i received that policy since then up to 15 days i can send request to make the policy cancelled so i received that policy on 1st sept08 nad send a mail on 12 sept08 to icici prudential email id(customer care) but after 15th sept i got a mail from icici bank that i will have to surrendered the policy to the nearby branvh of my city so again i told them over phone that since i have a touring job and i am in markiting so i will surrender that policy when i ge t the time and on 1st week of oct08 i have surrendered that policy with a hand written application but after 10 or 15 days they have returned my policy and refused to make it cancelled stating that sinnce i sent a request to make the policy canbcelled after free lock in period so it can not be cancelled though i have sent the request mail before 3 days of free lock in period.
in the mean time the credit card departement have been sending me the monthly statement by increasing the charges which now as per them is more than 3000/ and they are continususely threating me to pay.
i have send several mail to icici prudential as well as credit card but nobody has responded and in there each reply they are saying that i have send the request after free lock in period though i have send the request 3 days before.
