This is to report a case of fraud and mis-conduct by Make my Trip, branch located at WHC Road, Gokulpeth, Nagpur (Maharashtra) herein after called Nagpur Branch. Booking ID : IN1310B1S020160 Tour Code : MS1112-S Name of Client : Prashant Makhija x 02 As per the Brochure & Information provided to us by the Nagpur Branch, we were informed that the VISA application process will take almost 2 to 3 days. We submitted all the documents latest by 3rd of December 2013. However, excluding 3rd of September as a grace day, the VISA should have been allotted latest by 6th of December. We made end number of calls and personally visited the Nagpur Branch so as to enquire about the VISA, but every time we received dis-appointing and unwanted remarks from the concerned authorities. The authorities made an excuse every time, and we had to return dis-appointed. At last, on 11th of December, Mr. Rubal ensured us about the VISA and said that the same shall be delivered to us electronically on the next i.e 12th of December latest by 12 noon. We were advised by the authorities to leave for Mumbai. As per the information received by us, we proceeded for Mumbai, merely depending upon the trust on Make my Trip. When we called Mr. Rubal next day, we were not answered until we had to visit personally the Nagpur Branch and enquire about the VISA at 7 PM in the evening. To our shock , we were flatly informed that all the hopes should be given away and the VISA shall not been received by us. Mr. Rubal demanded heavy penalty at the very instance. We intended to lodge a FIR against Make my Trip , but in order to maintain peace of mind and to avoid prolonged litigation with the company, we didn’t filed any FIR. On the very next day, that is 13 Dec, Mr Rubal called us and demanded 30,000 from us. This was a honeymoon trip , that is why we accepted the offer so as to maintain our reputation in the society. But to our shock, Mr. Rubal again called us in the evening , when it was time for flight to be boarded at and demanded 50,000 INR. This was very depressing and we had to rush to Nagpur Branch and he deal was finalised at 30,000 INR. As per our conversation with the Airlines, we were informed that the date of the ticket could have been postponed with a fine of 2000 (Maximum) as allotment of VISA is not our fault. But no such steps were taken by the Nagpur Branch , instead new air tickets were booked and the previous air ticket were wasted.
Thus I would like to request you to kindly refund me the following amount. Amount received by Nagpur Branch by way of Penalty – 30,000/- Two day one night stay at Mumbai -15,000/- Total to be refunded is 45,000/- INR.
