I booked an international flight ticket on 18th Dec 2012 thru MakeMyTrip(Booking ID: NN230153115343). During the transaction I applied a valid Deal Code (expiry: March 31, 2013) for payback, which was accepted by the system. I double checked and confirmed it through MakeMyTrip customer care executive if it’s instant discount (reflected immediately) or a payback before making the actual transaction. After affirming this I applied it and got a success. I was told by MMT executive to wait for couple of weeks for the payback to happen to my ICICI account but it didn’t. So I called MMT customer care executive to know the status. To my surprise, I was told deal code is missing in their system, so cash back can’t happen. I’d a long conversation on this and MMT executive accepted such incidents may happen sometimes and can be rectified. I was told to send a screenshot of the transaction which I did. But as it went further, I was misinformed first about Deal Code being applicable only for domestic flight. Then again I showed them another link from official ICICI bank site for it being applicable on international flights as well. First they tried to manipulate me with the wrong information and when it didn’t work they simply refused to payback. Clearly MMT treat their customers STUPID and try to get away with lousy, MISLEADING information. With no cooperation on my repeated request I’m forced to write here a complaint. They obviously don’t treat their customers well, whatever they may claim. I found ClearTrip more friendly, honest and pleasant. It’s a clear case of fraud and I want justice. Strong action must be taken against such cheaters and malpractice performers. (Note# MMT must have my recorded conversation with executive on the day of booking which I did moments before my booking flight. This serve as evidence that I indeed applied Deal Code) -Mukesh
