This is regarding to MakeMyTrip booking Id “NF7901245715138”. This was for a multi-part air travel for me and my family (total four members) from Pune to Thiruvananthapuram via Bangalore. Note that this travel was on peak travel period, on December 22, 2014. I was getting ready for the cab drive to airport on 22nd December when I got an SMS from Indigo about delay of the first leg in my flight, from Pune. I called up Indigo airlines and they informed that it was impossible for me to meet the connection and advised me to cancel. I called up MakeMyTrip immediately and initiated cancellation. I got many further SMSes on the day and I got to know both the flights got very delayed (around 2 or three hours).
I initiated the cancellation on December 22. It is 25 January now and I still have not received refund or even clarification on the penalty imposed on me. The MakeMyTrip site has imposed a huge penalty on me, Rs. 17624. The total cost of the ticket booking was Rs. 19928. 17 thousand is too high an amount for me to let go waste. I do not have this much disposable amount so I had made the payment using credit card. I want them to deduct the convenience pay and pay me the rest.
