I would like to draw your attention on the fraudulent behavior of the online travel site, makemytrip.com. I booked Bus ticket from Kanpur to Delhi from makemytrip on 28th June, My booking ID is NU27013934192627. My travel date was on 30th June at 10.45 PM from Ramadevi Chouraha. The bus operator is Kalyani Travel (RST). Just before the commencement of travel I called the bus operator on the phone number specified in my ticket 9540008982 to confirm the pickup point. I made this call at 8.53 PM. The bus operator informed me that the bus has been cancelled due to the break down and offered me either to re-schedule this for next night or to give me the account number for refund. I had no option to re-schedule because of emergency and i was not willing to give my account number to an unknown person. So I called to makemytrip on 01244628765 at 9 PM (1hr 45 min before journey) to inform about the status and asking for the refund of RS1200 that I paid through my credit card. The customer support representative confirmed me to get in touch with the operator and proceed with the refund. When I checked the status of refund on my credit card statement, there was no statement of refund. I called again to makemytrip on 12th July to get a clarification on the same, but the customer support asked me that the concerned team has not got any feedback from the bus operator and shall give me call within one hour. I called again after 1.5 hour but the representative told me to wait again for entire day as they will definitely respond by the end of the day. Not hearing from them for over 24 hours I again called them on 14th but I again got same reply and they will revert within 24 hours. Waiting for over 24 hours again, I didn’t listen anything from the makemytrip. In nutshell it has been over 15 days since the day of journey but makemytrip couldn’t give my refund or even contact the bus operator. This is an unacceptable behavior and the website might be indulged in the fraud with the bus operator. I am filing the complaint to expose how customer’s are cheated by these websites.
