Marriage hall was booked for my daughter wedding with Abhimaani convention center on 24-Apr-2013 for the wedding to be held upon 13-Jul-2013 and 14-Jul-2013 by paying advance of 1 lakh INR. On a positive note, did not think about advance money being high or anything of that sort, but made the payment through cheque drawn as “self” (as suggested by marraige hall manager Praveen) but withdrawn by the marriage wedding hall people. But, unfortunately wedding could not be held as it got cancelled. And we informed Abhimaani convention center management about the cancellation on 24-May-2013 itself giving them much advance so that they could lease out their premises to other parties eager on the same date. But, wedding hall management is not ready to refund advance amount paid at all. As consumer we requested wedding hall management to deducted agreeable amount of around 10% of the deal amount 2 lakh and to repay the rest. But wedding hall management is not ready to refund any amount at all of the advance amount paid. Kindly help us to get refund.+

As per normal business standards, we are fine to pay 10% total deal money and rest 80000 rupees to be refunded to us or as per court judgement whichever is higher + Legal charges if any + Interest amount on advance payment from the day it is paid to the marriage hall management.
