I bought a new Micromax A116 phone for Rs.14,500 in Bangalore on April 14, 2013. In 5 days the power button of the phone stopped working. Since I was out of station I took it to service centre “Sri Srinivasa Technologies” on 22 April, 2013. They refused a replacement since 7 days had passed. So i gave it for repair. I was promised the repair to be completed in 20 days. But it has been 10 weeks and I have still not got back the phone.
I sold my old phone when I bought this new phone, so when this phone stopped working I lost all my contacts and lost many important appointments due to lack of communication. I have wasted lot of time in going to the service centre and calling the service centre for the status. I wasted money to call the service centre and the Micromax service I have not been a able to use a new phone which I bought for Rs. 14,500 for over 10 weeks.
For the phone, I need an immediate replacement for the phone with Rs. 200 that I spent for the screen cover on the old phone. I have spent atleast Rs. 500 on travelling to service centre and calling service centre and Micromax service. I want a refund with interest on this as well. I have not been able to use a product worth Rs.14,500 for over 2 months. This amounts to damages with interest. Thus I ask for an immediate relief with new phone and Rs. 30,000 in damages due to bad service
