I purchased a Micromax Canvas 2.2. A 114(Black) mobile through Amazon.in on 03/12/2014. The same suddenly did not work from 22/01/2015 and was displaying message that the sim could not be detected. I went to the nearest service centre at Mogappair. The staff their informed that the set is under Warranty period as such it can be attended to at Kodambakkam or T.Nagar Centres. I went to the Kodambakkam Service Centre on 29/01/2015 and produced the set for rectification. After verifying they informed that the spare has to come from Gurgaon and will be repaired upon receipt of the spare. They acknowledged the set vide their Job Order No 0115- 14761736 dated 29/01/2015. Last Friday i.e. on 06/02/2015, I received a call from them and was informed that the Spare has been received by them and will be readied within a week. On 11/02/2015, I rang up and reminded them, for which they informed that it will be readied soon. Again on 12/02/2015, I rang them and reminded them. I was shocked to hear from them that they could not set right the mistake and the set has to be sent to Gurgaon. I was further informed that it may further take 3 weeks to get the set back. I am really shocked to hear such a message from them after a gap of 13 days. Please let me know as to why I should be put to such inconvenience unnecessarily for no fault of mine. I am being penalized for having received a faulty set. If it cannot be repaired here itself then there must be some major fault. So the Company must replace the set immediately as it is well within the warranty period. As the CEOs email id s not available in the Company’s web site, I am sent a letter.

As we have already updated you that replacement is only confirmed from the service centre after diagnosing the handset , if the device is having a manufacturing defect within the 7 days from the date of purchase from the place of purchase .
