We are staying in an Apartment 364/365, Amma & Srirama Residency, Opp Reliance Fresh, Amruthahalli Main Road, Byatarayana Pura, Bangalore-92 .
Today afternoon around 3 PM BESOM team disconnected the Power supply to the whole Apartment using the Pole installed near our building. Reason stated was few of the Apartment people not paid the last month Bill. My concerns are stated below
• How can they disconnect the electricity supply to the whole Apartment? As per the rules, they can disconnect the Supply of electricity only to the defaulters flat;
• Even for the disconnection, they suppose to send Memo, notice for disconnections in advance. They have not sent anything; In fact, the defaulters missed previous month alone. They should have some notice period at least; Moreover, there is no history of later payment or default with these affected ones
• When spoke to JE of BESOM, Mr.Anand, he misguided me by telling the rule that whole apartment electricity will be disconnected even one defaulter exists in Apartments; But As per my understanding, there is no such rule exists. He also conveyed me that BESCOM team will work only till 6 PM. Again this is wrong information given to public; how can a public serving organization just work for 8 Hours? This is mere common sense
• Same JE of BESOM, Mr.Anand’s was reluctant to act on the issue and coolly told, he will react only tomorrow that is 16-oct-09 after 8.30 AM if dues cleared;
• Entire team showed extra interest, enthusiasm and hurry while disconnecting, but no one reacting to the calls even after the bill payment; I guess, they have vested interest rather than getting revenue to BESCOM; This needs to be drilled down and needs departmental enquiry
• No one takes the call which is allotted to lodge compliant; Numbers are 080-22287118/19. Again this is deficiency in service
