I had moved my household items with M/s Agarwal Packers & Movers (DRS Group) in January 2010 from Hyderabad to Bhubaneswar. The consignment was delivered late and Sofa set & TV cabinet were damaged in transit. The items were delivered in part consignments which was a violation of the agreement. M/s Agarwal Packers had charged me for a dedicated truck to move my items but sent the items in part consignment which caused damage to the items. After multiple followups and verification visits by the people from the Bhubaneswar branch of M/s Agarwal Packers, still no resolution was provided. I had issued legal notice and no response was given to that. Finally I took up the matter with Consumer Court in Bhubaneswar. The Honourable Court decided in my favour and ordered M/s Agarwal Packers & Movers to pay back the excess fee charged and compensation for damages. The Consumer Court gave its order on 22-Dec-10. However. M/s Agarwal Packers and Movers have not complied with the order since then, in absolute disregard of Honourable Consumer Court.

Compensation as ordered by Consumer Court and additional compensation for the 3 years delay caused by M/s Agarwal Packers & Movers in disregard of law of the land.
