Myself Revan G Gujar staying at Navapura, Vadodara, Gujarat. I bought gold jewellery worth Rs.1.62 Lacs which was approx 47 gms (Two Mangalsutra & Earrings) from M/s Chunilal Ambalal Saraf jeweller, Saraf Bazaar, Taluka-Kopargaon, District-Ahmednagar, Maharashtra at the time of My marriage. During our purchase, we were told that the gold is very much pure, as pure as 23 karat, which is also mentioned in writing on his receipt. And accordingly, he has charged MCX market rate which was 3195 at that time on particular day. Now, at present when we are in need of money to buy a property, we evaluated the jewellery at a reputed jewellers store. As the result came up, we were shocked when we were told that the gold is just 15 carat. At a glance, we did’nt believe it, but when we saw the report, we felt as if we were just bluffed. After a long discussion within family, we decided to sell it back to the same jeweller so as to prevent huge loss. But, when we had a word with him, he said that he will take it back at Rs.100 less per gram of his selling rate. In addition he will also deduct Cadmium rate as a term “Jhaaran” which is 2.25 gms , and its approx value comes to Rs.6637. We did’nt had any option as we were in need of urgent money. We tried to convience him not make such huge deductions & urged him to consider for this time. But he did’nt helped us any more & refused us saying that this system has been followed at his shop since his ancestors time. We sold one Mangalsutra out of Two as we were facing a huge loss. The final amount paid to us after all deductions like Making, Rate & Jhaaran was Rs.60000. While we purchased it at Rs. 77,500/-. End of all, we have faced a loss of arround Rs.40000 including fare charges. While the another Mangalsutra & Earrings is still pending to be sold. But before doing that, we thought to seek your help so as to avoid getting ourselves bluffed.

We want to get full value to which we paid at that time i.e. Rs. 1,62,865/- + interest + travelling expense + Defamation charges
