M/s Wood Beauty – such poor quality sofa refund of my amount

Dear Sir, I have purchased sofa set in March 2013 from dealer M/s Wood Beauty, Kirti Nagar, New Delhi. The complete order consisted of 1 no. three seater unit (white coloured), 1 no. two seater unit (white coloured) and 8 nos. cushions. The dealer demanded complete advance payment of Rs. 31000 (in cash) before delivering sofa. Even after making full payment and after much follow-up he delivered the sofa after 4-5 days that too in dirty condition when unpacked, having black hand marks due to poor handling of the transporter and with only 6 nos. cushions. I immediately called and complaint to Amit Gaba (dealer) asking for dry cleaning of sofa and also sending the balance 2 nos. cushions. At first he sounded ok. But later he never picked the call (out of 100 times, mostly switched off. or mere assurances) It went on for 5 months, than I lost hope and stopped calling. Soon the poor built quality started appearing in sofa and the top foam started cracking from front edges of seats giving very shabby look, we hardly made usage of sofa since March 2013 (me & wife both are working, and do not allow the child to use sofa due to its light color). This time I got real angry and scolded the dealer left and right at his shop in front of many customers. But he is real nerd and shameless person , I again started called him for another 3 months but as per his old behavior no solution came out, mostly unanswered/ switched-off cell status or sometimes if he picks my call, he simply give false assurances to get sofa repaired. I even scolded him badly few times and sent pics of damaged sofa at his ‘whatsapp’ ID on which he never responded back. I stay in Indirapuram and its not possible everytime to go to his shop and scold him. I am now totally frustrated and feels badly cheated dealing with that person Amit Gaba I have with me the dealer letter-head which has complete details of Sofa set order, amount and receipt of cash payment I even talked to President of furniture Market association (Mr. Rompi Bhatia – 9810089816), he too suggested put case in consumer court and showed his inability to put control over these dealers Also the dealer doesn’t seems to be paying sales tax, which can be used against him

I earnestly request CORE to help me get full refund of my amount INR 31000 plus additional INR 30000 for mental harassment. Also the dealer must be heavily fined as lesson for being involved in cheating practices & selling sub standard products. This is first ever consumer complaint of my life and keeping very high hopes for an immediate resolution, which shall be strongly appreciated
