Dear help, My unmarried sister has filled and signed all the documents and deposited premium amount to the LIC agent for her New policy. In return we have received a Proposal deposit receipt from the LIC office on 10-07-2000 but haven’t received the policy against the deposit. Unfortunately my sister died in a plane crash on 17-07-2000 exactly after a week. And when we claim for the above mentioned LIC plan than the LIC office denied to entertain saying that no policy has been made against the deposit so they cannot refund the claim. My question is : 1. it is whose responsibility to make the policy. 2. Why they have not made the policy for 1 week. 3. They are saying they have not received the proposal against the amt. receipt but than why they have given us proposal deposit receipt without receiving any proposal against the deposit. we have register a complain in the court against it. and now it is in consumer court. Please kindly help and guide me what shall i do inorder to get the right what i rightly deserve.
