No support or replacement of failed battery within warranty period

I had purchased an industrial battery, model IQ 500 Plus MF, serial number 90582, manufactured by a very renounced Industry “Exide Industries limited” on 15th of April 2009. The battery was used with a Luminous 800 v Inverter for back up power support in case of power failures. The warranty for this battery model was two years maintenance free from it’s date of purchase that is from 15-04-2009.
Now the battery had failed to take the load from 20th March 2010 and therefore did not comply to the warrenty terms.. The dealer, Sonia Enterprise, mobile number 9433475967, made an inspection and he had issued a replacement claim form number 27596. Accordingly, I carried the battery personally up to Exide company office in Kolkata for an early replacement.
Mr. J.N. Singh, the service Engineer of Exide , mobile number 9836265456, was courteous enough to receive the battery on 22nd March 2010 and promised me an early replacement.
Now till date I have not received my battary back despite of it being under replacement warranty period.

More than a month have passed and the manufacturer even have not bothered to address their minimal customer responsibilities.

I on my part had repeatedly inquired with all the parties concerned including Exide service engineer Mr. Sanjib Shidhyanta, mobile number 9830464422. He had informed me about 20 days back from now that they had found that the battery serial number 27596 faulty and they will replace it through a delivery via the dealer Sonia enterprise.

Now till date I have got no response from any of the parties including the dealer and the manufacturer on what is their position on replacing by battery which was faulty and currently in their custody.

Sir, The complains that I want to lodge are :-
1. Because of long non compliance from the manufacturer the Exide Industries Kolkata I am loosing on the terms of my purchase that is the warranty period.
2. I have one very critical patient in my home and all my family including the patient are suffering from lack of any back up power in long hours of power failures in horrible summer.
3. Is the Industry or the dealer will take any responsibility for bad things happening in my family?
4. Are they not responsible to at least provide an adequate back up support specially because the battery was under the warranty period?
5. Who are the persons responsible why such a disservice from a market leader?
6. I am seriously fade up in the current situation and don’t know if such practice is widely prevalent from a so reputed company and the single market leader.
7. what is the fate then for a consumer in this sector?

I therefore urge your good office to please look into the matter so that consumer practices should improve.

Sincerely Yours
