This is to file a complaint about non-cooperation and mental harassment done by Vodafone. I am a customer of Vodafone in Gujarat since 2010. Prior to this I was with Vodafone in Punjab for 6 years. I was dissatisfied with the hefty bill amounts and I opted for MNP and shifted to BSNL in the month of March 2014. After shifting to BSNL, I got the last bill of Vodafone, which I couldn’t pay in time as I was out of town and had no excess to internet. Later on I forgot the amount and tried to enquire on customer care but never got the information about outstanding amount of my number. Vodafone conveyed my status of outstanding bill to BSNL and I was given another deadline by BSNL to clear all the dues before 9th May 2014. I went to Vodafone store, Sector 11,Gandhinagar, Gujarat on 8th May 2014. I was asked by the staff to pay Rs. 1162.
I paid and was given a handwritten receipt as the printer was not working at that time. This receipt was not accepted at BSNL office and incoming and outgoing of my phone number 99099415XX was barred on 9th evening. Since I couldn’t visit the store because of my busy schedule, I telephonically requested the staff to either mail me the original receipt or convey to BSNL about my payment of outstanding bill. They did not do anything. After 12 days, when I was able to spare out some time from my busy office schedule, I again went to collect the receipt. After submitting the final receipt now BSNL has given me this information that Vodafone had earlier conveyed that my outstanding amount is Rs. 1661. I was never told the correct outstanding amount and just because of miscommunication by Vodafone my calls are barred till date. I called customer care many times on 8th May 2014 from 7am to 8 am to enquire about the outstanding amount. They always connected me to prepaid section inspite of connecting me to post paid section. You can check the recording of the conversation. I am highly disappointed with the behavior of Vodafone staff and feeling mentally harassed by the miscommunication and non cooperation of the staff. Kindly consider this complaint seriously and do the needful so that Vodafone staff cooperate with customers and does clear communication in future. Also give me clear information about any outstanding payments due. If all my dues are clear then please send a no due certificate to BSNL so that my calls can be unbarred.
