non-refund of cancelled air ticket

I booked an air ticket in the name of Mr. Praveen Sharma on 23rd Oct 2009, using the services of www.makemytrip.com, transaction ID- ID FLTINT10004797088, using credit card issued in my name i.e, Rahul Srivastava, credit card no. 554623**********, exp. dt 11/11and type : master card.

I requested for the cancellation of this ticket on 21st November 2009 and cancellation was confirmed to me.

After that I kept waiting for the refund of the ticket amount after the deduction of reasonable cancellation charges but it has been more than three months that despite of making repeated complaints to make my trip with following refrence Id’s:

I’ve recieved nothin but only assurence to recieve my money back. On 23rd February 2010, we have served a notice to the manager, makemytrip, asking to remitt back the whole due amount along with the interest accrued on it or else after 15 days we shall file a consumer complaint. The service provider has not responded to the notice making its careless and negligent attitude towards its consumers evidently clear, once the money has been snatched from their pockets.

Hence I approach this forum and claim the entire due amount along with interest at the rate of 18 % and also claim Rs. 50,000 as compensation for the mental agony, inconvinience and distress caused to me by this deficiency in service and grossly unprofessional and negligent attitude of the service provider which all has lead to the victimization of a consumer whose fault has been to rely on the compalint redressal system of the service provider makemytrip.
