Dear Sir/ Madam,

My father Mr. Balwinder singh had been using Idea prepaid sim for many years. On 7th dec. 2011 he lost his cell phone in a train. Cell phone had dual sim, on Idea and another Airtel.

We did not find any difficulty regarding issuing duplicate Airtel sim. We just submitted a photocopy of an F.I.R and one ID. On Airtel customer care they just asked me my last recharge n one number.

On the other hand, as far as Idea is concerned, they want original copy of an F.I.R. last five recharge. When I contacted Idea customer care they are telling me that no need to submit original documents. But, yor Balaji telecommunication Phagwara branch is not accepting photocopy. Its a huge harassment for me.

Can anybody tell me the requirements regarding issuing duplicate sim.
