I had been approached by Oriental Cuisines people through telemarketing for enrollment in their Cuizzins Plus membership program in Feb2014. I had agreed and the membership fees for the same amounting to Rs. 6000 was collected from my residence through an EDC machine swipe at my residence. Subsequently I received a black and orange colour membership card (2 Cards which do not state anything on the face of it). I was informed that one card was a gift card and that it can be redeemed against the bill charges at their group of restaurants. In 13th Feb2014 I visited their Wangs Kitchen restaurant at Kilpauk and tried using the gift card but the Manager there did not accept the card stating that they were not aware about the scheme. I took up the issue with the company and they apologized stating that there was a technical glitch and that their staffs were under training and hence such an incident happened. Later on 27th March, I visited their China Town Restaurant where again i had provided both the cards but they refused the gift card and instead gave some reward points against the membership card and was informed that the gift card should be used later on. This again was complained to the company and had put forth my grievance and requested them to refund my membership fees due to their poor service. I was refused and instead offered Rs. 500 gift voucher for my troubles.

I had been let down by the Oriental cuisines people very badly and I want them to refund my membership fees of Rs. 6000/- immediately along with monetary compensation of Rs. 50000/- towards the embarrassment and troubles caused to me in this regard. This compensation is requested so that they learn to treat customers properly and not to take them lightly. They should be aware that all systems should be in place before launching a membership scheme. They should compensate for the irresponsible response they gave me for my legitimate grievance.
