I have been an avid fan of Hush Puppies’ shoes. For the last twenty years or so I have been wearing Hush Puppies’ shoes. Lately I have observed that the quality of shoes have deteriorated with the passage of time. I have presently two instances to narrate. In the first case, I bought a loafer type Hush Puppies’ Shoe from Bata Store in Chennai sometime in the middle of March 2014(18 March 2014). The shoe cost me around INR 7000 plus. After a month or so i did notice the leather of the shoe started showing signs of starving and getting stiff. Subsequently the leather had uneven creases and it became unwearable. A shoe worth INR 7000 becoming unwearable within a span of few months is not acceptable. The photo of the shoe is attached herewith. Inspite of my latest bad experience with Hush Puppies’ Shoes, still being a loyal of Hush Puppies’ shoes, bought a loafer ( Monaco) from Hush Puppies’ Store in Cannaught Place, New Delhi on March 20th, 2015. I liked the design of the shoe and it fitted me well and thats how I bought it. Once i wore it three/four times I observed that the front and back of the shoe is coming in contact with the ground. The shoe has a basic design issue. The sole of the shoe is short compared to the length of the shoe. So while walking the front leather portion and the back leather of the shoe is touching the ground and leather is getting worn off. It is happening both at the front and back. The color of the front leather has already turned pale and might tear off within few days. There seems to be design problem as the sole is not strong enough to hold the weight and and allowing the tip of the shoe and the toe of the shoe to touch the ground. I have approached the outlet and i was told that they cannot do anything about it and customer care to be approached. The photos of the shoe are attached. This Loafer shoe bought three months back at a cost of INR 3999 cannot be worn any longer. It is requested that I may be allowed to exchange this shoe with some other shoe from the same outlet at the same price or higher price(Difference of price being borne by undersigned).
