Sir, I had taken a Reliance Life Insurance, Policy No. 10518246. , dated 19th of February, 2007. I have been able pay only one premium of
Rs 12,036, after which I was unable to pay the remaining premiums.
The company has rejected my claim to pay me back at least the Principle amount without interest cos that has been said so in their plan conditions.
Further the company is dictatorial and urging me to pay the rest ( at least two more premiums) or forgo my hard earned money as written off cash. Is that fair? Does not the consumer have choice — tutelage to have a more just and fairer dual option. What if the consumer is unable to pay?
I would consider this attitude to be antidemocratic and equivalent to the privilege of an Oligopoly firm to bulldoze its stance on the poor consumer.
I protest strongly against this criminality of being denied the payment of my hard earned money on grounds that I have been unable to pay the rest.
I request the honorable court to consider the matter thoughtfully and make a decision that will ameliorate the helplessness of customer to seek justice owing to the very injustice of the company law.
